Enabling people living with autism in Scotland through the whole life journey

*We would like to make you aware that our membership governance structure is currently under review. We are undertaking a consultation with existing members at present and hope to confirm the new model by the end of June 2013. Our membership is still open to parents looking to access our Right Click programme but we ask that all other prospective members wait until July when our new governance structure will have been agreed. If you have any questions, please contact us on 01259 720 044 or email autism@scottishautism.org.
"Being a member of Scottish Autism means you will be part of a growing network of professionals, parents, carers and people affected by autism."
Our aim with membership is to create a strong network of supportive individuals who share our ambitions for people with autism. Whether you are a parent, carer, professional or individual with autism, joining us means you support our vision to enable people living with autism in Scotland through the whole life journey.
Why join?
We want you to feel part of our organisation so we will endeavour to keep you up to date with what is going on and welcome your thoughts and feedback at any time. As a member, you will also have voting rights at our Annual General Meeting.
In addition, you will receive:
There are two different categories for membership so you can find the right one for you.
Individual membership

Join as an individual for £15 a year and enjoy a range
of benefits. Must be aged 16 or over.

Families with a child with autism can join for £25 a year.
This includes x2 adult members with voting rights and x2 junior members with no voting rights.
There are two ways you can apply to become a member:
1. By submitting our online form and paying via our secure payment portal.
2. By downloading or requesting a membership form and returning it to us by post with payment to Scottish Autism, Freepost TY721, FK10 3SA.
Direct Debit is the preferred method of payment as this really helps us to reduce administration costs.
Meeting other Members
Throughout the coming year there will be a variety of ways in which you can meet other members. This year we are offering a range of smaller Knowledge Share seminars that are offered at a low cost. We hope members will join us in supporting these events. And of course there is the winter AGM where you can have your say and meet the Board.
There are many ways in which you can become an active member of Scottish Autism. Whether that is by fundraising for us, coming along to our events or simply spreading the word about what we do, your support really will help us to reach everyone living with autism in Scotland.
Please look at the Support Us section of the website for more ideas.
