Event Information

Playing with others can be difficult for children on the autistic spectrum. Research has shown that Lego® is an effective way of developing their play skills. This workshop will help participants know how to develop children’s play skills through the use of Lego®. The morning will cover a basic understanding of play and some hands-on practise. The workshop will be run by June Grindley who has a brother and a son with autism and began working with people on the spectrum in 1998. She completed an MSc in Autism in 2013 during which she examined the use of Lego® based Therapy. Her work with Lego® has been endorsed by Gina Gomez de la Cuesta.
