Jasmine's Last Assembly

Last week was our final assembly of autumn term and saw us say goodbye to Jasmine who has been our Principal for the past six years! Jasmine started as our Head Teacher in 2011 before becoming Principal in 2013. During her time with us, she has seen our school through many changes and has been a huge support to all our parents and pupils.

At assembly, we watched a presentation showing Jasmine’s highlights of her time at New Struan and were happy to be joined by lots of staff and parents for the occasion. We are sad to say goodbye to Jasmine and wish her lots of luck in her new adventure.

Lucy is the new Head Teacher at New Struan and in November we will be joined by Deborah Henderson who is going to be our new Deputy Head Teacher. Deborah comes to us from West Lothian Local Authority with a wealth of experience in both educational leadership and autism specific education development.

We also gave out star awards to:

  • April who has been out and about in the community this week, shopping and lunching all by public bus
  • Sam who has been helpful and responsible to staff this week
  • Kiedis for helping his friend with his reading this week
  • Dermot who has been joining the group for shared learning much more this week
  • And Jamie who’s 14th birthday is coming up!
