Autism Progress

Along with Autism Wessex and the North East Autism Society, Scottish Autism has been involved in the development of a new autism profiling tool.
This newly created autism continuum will accurately profile the impact of a person’s autism and guide the development of targeted support strategies. The ultimate aim is to enrich the quality of life of all those who have autism.

At New Struan, we use Autism Progress to inform strategies of support for our practitioners to support autistic children and young people and other complex needs. This information is captured in people's planning and is discussed at termly progress and attainment meetings. We are using communication descriptors and strategies to improve teaching and learning.
