Anders' Graduation

Today was a very special assembly as it was also Anders’ Graduation! We started by having our normal singing, dancing and sharing. Jasmine showed everyone a nice picture that had been taken of all the pupils at camp last week and Danny shared some pictures from his favourite film and a tower he has been making from cardboard.

Instead of star awards, we had a special section for Anders where we all watched a lovely presentation of his highlights at New Struan, including his love of music, painting, sport and some nice pictures of him and all his friends. We then gave him some presents and things to remember his time at New Struan and said goodbye, wishing him the best for the future. Anders’ mum, dad and dog Poppy also came along to celebrate with us!

Colin, Anders' Dad, said: "Thanks for a wonderful day. It was a pivotal day for not only Anders but also us as parents. We were so sad as New Struan has been his home for such a long time and you and the support workers have been so amazing! We really don't know where we would of been had it not been with all the care and consideration you all showed."

Good luck Anders!
