Jason's Computer

At assembly last week, Jason let us all know that he has finished building his computer! Last week he was still waiting on parts to arrive and so took a trip to the computer shop to pick up the remaining few things he needed. In just two days, Jason built his brand new computer and has been showing it to other pupils and explaining how he put it together. It has a Pentium G3260 processor and 2x4GB of RAM – a spec that he was very proud of.

This is a fantastic achievement for Jason and we are so proud of his commitment and enthusiasm towards the project.

Jack also shared that he has started writing an autobiography which he has chosen to title ‘Cupboard of Symphonies’. The autobiography will cover his life up until now including his experience at school before coming to New Struan and how his life has changed. He is excited to take on this project and has already finished chapter 1 – we are all looking forward to reading this once it is finished.

Finally, Alexander shared that his class are having a pyjama party and Danny showed us some artwork that he had put together that everyone was very impressed by.

Last week we gave out star awards to:

  • Dermot for communicating confidently with his  friends
  • George for confidently expressing his views and visiting a variety of community spaces
  • Jason for successfully building his own computer from scratch in just over a day!
  • Sam for his thoughtfulness towards other pupils in the New Struan community
  • Gregor for helping water the plants for Pine Class

We also said goodbye to Hilary who is leaving New Struan School and wished her all the best in her new role.
