Team and Location
We have a dedicated team of staff who are equipped with the skills and knowledge to deliver a quality autism-specific service.
All staff members are registered with the SSSC and follow a robust training programme. We provide opportunities for their continued learning and development which is necessary to maintain our high standards.
Each individual that comes to us will have a nominated key worker acting as a single point of contact for families and other professionals.
The key worker will provide reports that outline the child or adults progress and highlight outcomes for future visits.
We consistently achieve very positive feedback from the Care Inspectorate which is highlighted in the grades we are awarded. Scottish Autism is also committed to the Public Service Improvement Framework (PSIF) as a means of monitoring and evaluating our quality standards and ensuring continuous improvement.
Scottish Autism has been awarded the 'Recognised for Excellence' 3 star award from Quality Scotland which reflects our determination to develop the highest standards in leadership, management and service delivery.
Situated near Biggar in South Lanarkshire, easily accessed from all over Central Scotland, Clannalba is a converted country house with extensive gardens and grounds.
By replicating the comfort of a family home, we have created an environment where individuals can feel relaxed and be themselves. The space available is flexible affording us the opportunity to provide a multitude of indoor and outdoor activities
to support a wide range of interests; the play barn, games room and swimming pool always prove popular.
We have established excellent links in the local area so that the individuals who come for respite can access activities and experiences. Whether it is visiting parks, going camping or trying new sports like horse riding, it is important that while individuals are here, they feel included and part of the local community.
