Pars Foundation Supports Family To Attend Match

We were delighted to pair up with the Pars Foundation, Dunfermline Athletic FC's official charity, to support the Michie family to attend the recent Dunfermline v Queens Park match at East End Park.

Parents Bill and Zdenka attended the match with their sons, Connor and Jacob, who are both autistic. The Pars Foundation provided the family with sensory packs to support the boys and help facilitate their attendance at the game.

While the game ended in a 0-0 draw, it was clear that the experience was a win for the family, with the boys enjoying a visit from Dunfermline mascot, Sammy the Tammy, ahead of kick-off.

"It was brilliant experience and the boys were really happy! It was really good to be able to go to the pitch and get photos taken with Sammy the Tammy, it was the biggest highlight for the boys." said Zdenka afterwards.

"The sensory packs were really good also, ear defenders were god send as Connor was quite nerves about the match due to high noise but he was able to enjoy the game right through without any problems and so was Jacob.

"They both loved the football poppet fidget toy and the wee football, pens and DAFC sheets of paper to draw on. Thank you so much for giving us this oportunity to be part of a great day out!"

We were delighted that the family enjoyed their day out, and are grateful to everyone at the Pars Foundation and Dunfermline Athletic for their support in providing this experience for the family.
