Scottish Autism has rebranded and relocated one of its Clackmannanshire day services.

Formerly known as Chrysalis and based in Clackmannan, the newly named Inspire will be based in Cooperage Way in Alloa. Providing autistic adults with a day service focusing on sensory exploration and the expressive arts.

The new premises will enable the service to expand on the work of its popular musical theatre group. With more practical and accessible spaces in a central location within the county.

Commenting on the move, Scottish Autism Regional Manager, Jill Ferguson, said:

"The supported individuals who access this service have previously spoken of the value they feel it brings to them, and by moving to new premises we have the potential to widen the range of opportunities offered by the service, as well as ensuring that it is as accessible as possible.

"In the past, the musical theatre group have staged wonderful performances of The Lion King and The Wizard Of Oz, and we have seen the positive outcomes for the people we support in terms of confidence building and self-expression.

"We felt that the relocation of the service would be best accompanied by a new name to give the service its own identity, and after a vote the name Inspire was chosen. We know that the work done by the service to date has inspired the individuals who attend, and we are sure that it will continue to do so."
