About us
We are Scotland’s leading autism charity. We support autistic people and their families across the country, and take action to achieve the more inclusive world we want for all autistic people.
A lifetime of support
Founded in 1968 by parents of autistic children, who saw the need for better understanding and support, we have grown to become Scotland’s largest provider of autism-specific services and a leading voice for societal change. Today we support autistic people and their families across the length and breadth of the country, throughout their life journey.
Embracing difference, leading change
Our Centre for Practice, Policy and Research is a vital hub for sharing knowledge and influencing better support for autistic people. We recognise the contribution that autistic people have to make to society, and campaign for a world where autistic people can thrive. We are led by the priorities of our community, and we are working to ensure that autistic people are included in decision-making at every level within Scottish Autism.
