Our Roles
At the heart of Scottish Autism are dedicated and skilled individuals who work together to make a real difference in the lives of autistic people. Our team is made up of many roles, each vital, and all working towards one goal – a more inclusive Scotland.
Autism Practitioners (AP)
Our practitioners provide direct support to autistic people every day, helping them work towards their goals and aspirations. Working as part of a specialist team, they offer guidance and help autistic individuals across Scotland thrive.
“Working at Scottish autism as a Senior Autism Practitioner has been such a meaningful part of my life, I have learned so much from the people we support and it is so rewarding to make such a difference to their day however small.”
Cheryl Harcus, Orkney Service
Senior Autism Practitioners (SAP)
Senior practitioners are team leaders who play a key role in supporting and guiding our Autism Practitioners. They are role models who champion best practice and help their teams learn and grow.
Service Managers
Our Service Managers oversee everything within their service or services, keeping everyone in line with our high standards of care. They work collaboratively with our practitioners, using their experience to tailor and improve services.

Alongside our wonderful practitioners, we also have a range of dedicated in-house teams who help keep our organisation running efficiently.
