Caitlin

Caitlin is our Senior Community Advisor at Scottish Autism. She has experience working with children, young people and adults with differing support needs.

Caitlin is autistic and brings direct lived experience to her knowledge and understanding. As well as her lived experience, Caitlin also has a wealth of knowledge and experience centred around inclusion and disability equality.

She is passionate about accessibility and working towards societal change to better the general populations understanding of autism and to better the lives of autistic people and those around them.

Kirsten

Kirsten has worked as a Community Advisor for the Scottish Autism Advice Line Team since September 2022. She comes from a teaching background where she worked as a Support for Learning Teacher with primary aged children with additional support needs for over 15 years. She also ran a social enterprise for children and families affected by additional support needs and has worked on various projects raising awareness of neurodiversity in schools.

Kirsten also has personal experience of neurodiversity and feels privileged to work in such an understanding and supportive team.

Maureen

Maureen has worked for Scottish Autism as a Community Advisor for 11 years. Initially her role was supporting families directly in Argyll and Bute as part of the Get Set 4 Autism programme before moving to the Advice Line Team. As the mother of an autistic adult, Maureen has knowledge and understanding of the challenges families face. She is dedicated to working alongside others to promote understanding and meaningful support for autistic individuals and their families.
