Charlie McMillan

Charlie has lots of experience of leading and delivering mindfulness courses, day retreats, and workshops. He is committed to the involvement and inclusion of neurodivergent people in mindfulness. This is an evolving area of practice, and Charlie is keen to work with the group to further develop a mindfulness approach that best suits neurodivergent people whilst retaining the core elements of the practice.

Charlie loves the joy and balance mindfulness brings to his day-to-day life. As well as his mindfulness practice, Charlie has significant experience in both individual and collective activism, lobbying, campaigning and policy development.

Charlie trained as a social worker and has had a lengthy career working for NGOs in Scotland. He is an ally of neurodivergent people in their quest to live full, safe, loving and equal lives.

Charlie is a proud member of the LGBT+ community and is committed to developing the right environment for social justice to flourish for everyone.

To be human, you must bear witness to justice. Justice is what love looks like in public’. – Cornel West
