Social Connections @ Discovery Point

This group is for autistic adults in Dundee, at any point during their diagnosis journey, including those who self-identify as autistic. Connections also support those in Perth and Angus who are awaiting an autism assessment through the Tayside Adult Autism Consultancy Team (TAACT).
If you have not had contact with our Dundee Connections team previously please contact us by emailing dundeeconnections@scottishautism.org or call 03030 034 020 prior to booking.
We will begin with Dundee to the Future, a dome film workshop exploring how Dundee has changed over the past 100 years and imagining what the next 100 might look like. This might be perfect for anyone interested in local history.
This will be followed by a tour of the RRS Discovery, where you will step aboard the famous ship and uncover its story, from being built in Dundee to Captain Scott’s 1901 Antarctic expedition and beyond.
Please be aware that this is not a free event and £4 entry should be paid on the door.
Please note: temperatures vary between the museum and the ship, and some areas can be quite cold, so you may wish to bring an extra layer.
One of our Community Advisors will be on hand to assist during Social Connections. Please advise us of any support needs or reach out to us at dundeeconnections@scottishautism.org or call 03030 034 020 if you have any questions about attending the group.
Numbers attending the groups are limited to ensure a comfortable space for all therefore booking is essential. Please click the button below to register to attend.
