A Sparkling Week for Pupils

Pupils in Oak Class this week have been learning about Guy Fawkes and why we celebrate the 5th of November. As a celebration of their own, pupils created some dazzling artwork to capture the essence of Bonfire Night! One brave pupil even read out a poem she’d written about Fireworks at Friday’s assembly.

A food tasting session for pupils also took place this week (a culinary delight of new recipes to try) and there was a special helper in the school. Stephanie Hanlon from Lornshill Academy was keen to get some experience working with children with autism. She did a fantastic job and received a Star Award for all her hard work – well done Stephanie! Star Awards were also given out to Jason Davidson for a fantastic PE session and to Anna Thomson for an improvement in her maths work.

Finally, we are pleased to confirm that the school Christmas Market will take place on Wednesday 11th Dec from 1pm – 3pm, friends and family are all welcome!
