Ahead of the 2026 Scottish Parliament elections, we have published our manifesto for change – ‘Seizing the Moment’.

The manifesto has been developed through listening to the priorities of autistic people and their families who use our services and who have contacted our Advice Line.

Seizing the Moment

We want all parties to seize the moment, and:

Commit to delivering the Learning Disabilities, Autism & Neurodivergence Bill
Introduce a National Neurodevelopmental Pathway Guarantee
Improve support for autistic learners and an end to informal exclusions in education
Deliver a reformed social care sector where specialism is recognised, third-sector providers are valued and the workforce is appropriately rewarded
End the categorisation of autism as a mental disorder within the Mental Health (Scotland) Act
