Aberdeen Playscheme and Afterschool Support

A unique sensory and neurodivergent inclusive environment to meet the individual and sensory needs of autistic and neurodivergent children and young people from ages 4 to 18 years.

Aberdeen Stay, Play and Connect / Dingwall and Highlands Stay, Play and Connect

Sessions designed to provide neurodivergent children and young people, aged 0-16, with a supportive, non-judgemental, and sensory-friendly environment where they can thrive. The facility offers a variety of spaces, including our soft play structure, sensory room, and tech room, each carefully tailored to meet the diverse needs of the children. Parents and carers can also relax, connect with one another, and access support from one of our trained staff.

Binky the Sensory Bus

The first, and as far as we know the only, double decker sensory bus in Scotland, if not in the whole of the UK, offering a unique and specialised mobile sensory environment by a trained team. We offer free sensory support on Binky the Sensory Bus to autistic and neurodivergent children and young people and their families, some with additional support needs, aged between 4 and 18 years old in the areas of Peterhead and Fraserbrugh.

Learning Pathways Plus

Learning Pathways Plus provides 1:1 support for school age children in Aberdeenshire, who have been excluded or are currently not attending school, so that they can resume their education with less social anxiety.

Employability Service

Our employability service provides opportunities for autistic and neurodivergent individuals to meet one-to-one with our Employability Officer and attend group support for employment related matters.

Our Employment Service aims to support neurodivergent individuals with access to employment, seek suitable volunteer opportunities to build skills and experience and find suitable employment. Our Employability Officer provides support in completing job applications, CV writing, job interview preparation and support with employers and access to local education and training opportunities.

Outreach Services

We provide one-to-one autistic and neurodivergent specific support and guidance for autistic children, adults and their families throughout Aberdeen City, Aberdeenshire, Highlands and Moray.

Support can be provided by our team anywhere in Aberdeen City, up to 15 miles from one of our bases in Aberdeenshire (Fraserburgh or Peterhead), up to 15 miles from our base in Dingwall, Highlands or anywhere within Moray.

Direct support is provided within the home, local community and places of education or employment or at one of our bases, mainly on a one-to-one basis and decided by the personal plan, co-designed and agreed by the individual and our trained team. Where required and wanted, we work with family members and anyone else who is important to the individual we are supporting.

Diagnosis is not necessary to use or access any of our services and all referrals are considered on an individual basis.

Our support staff listen and offer guidance, enabling individuals, and where required their families, to support them overcome the challenges and difficulties unique to them, providing tailored support for individuals to reach their individual goals and lead independent, fulfilling and happy lives.
