Gartinny Nurseries
About Gartinny Nurseries
Gartinny Nurseries is a vocational day service and an operational garden centre, offering horticultural therapy to autistic adults. The people we support can learn about how to successfully grow plants, shrubs and trees which are sold to the public.
Gartinny Nurseries will be closed from January 2026 to summer 2026 whilst the site undergoes renovation work
The nursery first opened in 1995 and for the past 30 years has offered horticultural therapy to autistic adults. The renovation work aims to make the site bigger and better by creating a person centred, outdoor horticultural space that is more accessible. There will be an outdoor sensory and self-regulation area, a woodwork shed, horticultural spaces, polytunnels, an outreach and games room. and a canteen.
Gartinny will officially close on Friday 2nd January 2026 until renovations are completed in Summer 2026. In the interim the people we support will have access to day services including a games room, local walks and a comfortable eating space at a temporary space in Elmbank in Menstrie from Monday 5th January. The Elmbank site will not be open to the general public.
