Parent & Carers Group (of autistic adults)

Our One Stop Shop supports hundreds of people across Fife every year. From emotional support to understanding an autism diagnosis to support with transitions; the team are here to offer advice to autistic people, their families, friends and professionals.
This meeting is for parents and carers of autistic adults in Fife. This group allows for networking and support and is an opportunity for helpful discussion around a range of topics and themes. A member of the One Stop Shop team will be present to offer perspectives and advice.

Please note: This session takes place on the first floor of New Volunteer House, which is accessed by stairs, there are no lift facilities available in this building. If you are unable to use stairs, please get in touch with our team to make arrangements.
Meet the host

Gemma, Community Advisor
Gemma joined the One Stop Shop in Spring 2022. She has a Psychology Degree and a Master’s Degree in Disabilities. Since then, she has spent almost 20 years working within various roles, supporting autistic individuals or people with learning disabilities, most recently within Citizen Advocacy.
Gemma is passionate about ensuring that autistic people have a voice within their lives, as well as supporting people to become better connected with their local communities.
She enjoys walking in the countryside with her dog, spending time with her family, paddleboarding and yoga.
