We’re looking for enthusiastic and compassionate Autism Practitioners to join our Tayside team, supporting four women and two men across two services. Each person has their own interests, personality and aspirations, and every day brings something different.

You’ll support individuals to live as independently as possible and find joy in everyday life. This could involve getting out and about in the community, building independence at home, connecting with peers, achieving personal goals, or exploring creative interests.

The team focuses on building positive relationships, promoting wellbeing, and creating opportunities for people to thrive in their own homes and communities.

A driving licence would be advantageous, as the individuals have access to Motability vehicles and enjoy getting out and about in their local communities.

Join our team at Appletree Housing Support 2:1 Service, near Auchterarder (PH3 1D), where you’ll support an individual in their own home to enjoy the things that matter most to them. As an Autism Practitioner, you’ll get to know the person, build positive relationships with their family and key stakeholders, and help shape personalised support that promotes choice, independence and wellbeing. Using a low arousal approach, you’ll provide tailored support that reflects all aspects of the person’s life, including their autism and PMLD.

Appletree Community is a close-knit, rural environment which supports the low arousal approach you’ll adopt. With excellent indoor and outdoor space, the supported person enjoys time with their team and as part of their local community by participating in a range of activities.
