As the Senior Autism Practitioner in our Fife Area, you will have the exciting opportunity to ensure the successful delivery of a new service within Glenrothes.

Actively involving yourself in the recruitment process, you will liaise with the Services Manager to recruit new, talented autism practitioners to support this new service, then lead and inspire them to provide a consistent, high-quality support service to autistic people.

At Scottish Autism we acknowledge the specialist support our staff provide to autistic people, therefore those carrying out support work are known as Autism Practitioners. We are committed to supporting over 60 autistic adults across Fife, providing personalised care across a variety of settings. Our services range in their level of complexity and have varying staffing ratios including 1:1 and 2:1 support.

We’re looking for dedicated and confident professionals with experience in support roles. We are seeking passionate, experienced and enthusiastic practitioners to make a positive impact on the lives of the people we support. While not essential, a Full UK Driver’s License would be beneficial to support our supported individuals to access their local community.

A full UK driving licence would be beneficial (although not essential), as he enjoys scenic drives and visiting quiet local parks. This is a 2:1 support service, where you’ll help him engage in sensory activities at home, develop independent living skills, and build meaningful daily routines. He has a passion for music, enjoys relaxing in his hot tub, and values spending time doing the things that make him happy and comfortable.
