Scottish Autism appoints charity Business Ambassadors

Scottish Autism has launched a Business Ambassadors initiative to support the work of the charity, raise awareness and raise vital funds for autism support services.

Three individuals have already been appointed to the voluntary role; Lewis Scremin, Major Projects Bids & Tenders Manager (Northern Europe) at Aggreko, Stuart Maxwell, Maturation Leader at William Grant & Sons and Matt Donnelly, Founder of ad+ Chartered Accountants & Business Advisors.

By drawing on the experience and expertise of the Business Ambassadors, Scottish Autism aims to work with each towards a vision of a world where autistic people are understood and enabled to lead meaningful and fulfilling lives as valued members of the community.

Commenting on the new initiative, Karen Wilson, Income Generation Lead at Scottish Autism, said: "We are delighted to welcome the Business Ambassadors to the Scottish Autism team and we look forward to working with them to support more autistic people and their families throughout Scotland.”

Newly appointed, Business Ambassador, Stuart Maxwell said: "My 21 year old sister Eilidh is autistic. She attends Scottish Autism's Abbie Resource Day Service in Glasgow which she absolutely loves. When the opportunity came to support Scottish Autism, I jumped at the chance."
