Agriculture

The new topic this school term is agriculture. Pupils are learning about the world around them, where food comes from and nature.

As part of the new topic pupils have been gathering leaves from the playground and learning about different types of trees.

They have learning about what life is like on a farm and creating their own farms.

The most exciting part however is what will be arriving at New Struan School next week! Pupils are very excited about the arrival of some chick eggs! Kept in an incubator, pupils will be able to watch the eggs hatch into chickens. This form of experiential learning helps to aid pupils’ understanding of science and life cycles whilst enchancing numeracy skills. Not to mention it will be lots of fun...we’ll keep you posted!
