Animal Life

Family and friends weren’t the only visitors to New Struan in the last few weeks, there were some rather interesting creatures too as Zoolab joined them for an afternoon.

A giant millipede, a snake, a treefrog and a tarantula were among the guests of the day and the pupils got to learn about and look at each animal in turn with some even being brave enough to hold them!

This was a fantastic interactive learning opportunity that really brought to life what the pupils had been learning in the classroom. By getting to meet the different animals first hand it enabled them to gain a clearer understanding of some of these more unusual animals, linking in to this term’s school topic of Agriculture.

Thank you so much to Zoolab for an amazing afternoon!
