The Cairn Stone Drama Performance

At the end of last term, after weeks of hard work rehearsing, our pupils performed their drama ‘The Cairn Stone’ for parents and staff at school.

The play told the story of a boy called Struan as he and his dad went to explore the Ochil Hills. They see snow, a waterfall and lots of clouds as they climb higher and higher into the hills. They hear the beautiful sound of an unusual bird, which Anders performed extremely well.

Jack and Jason did a wonderful job of being on stage for the whole performance, telling the story through actions that everybody joined in with. Jack and Gregor also went up onto the stage to take part in the performance doing a really great job.

The engagement from pupils during the performance was fantastic with everyone joining together to shout out ‘magnificent’ throughout as the audience were taken along on Struan’s magnificent journey up the hills.

We are so proud of our pupils for coming together to engage in this piece of work. We would also like to say a massive thank you to Clare Hume who has been working with the pupils on the show and doing weekly drama sessions at school.

Well done everybody!
