Lloyds Lend a Hand
While the school is closed for summer, last week a group of volunteers from the Lloyds Banking Group IT department in Edinburgh visited New Struan, generously giving up their time. The volunteers spent the day at the school sorting out the library, tidying up the sensory garden, painting fences, cutting hedges and even building a new bird house.
Despite the rain, the volunteers remained in high spirits and managed to enjoy a BBQ for their lunch between showers. The volunteers did a fantastic job and the school and outside areas are looking great, all ready for the new term ahead.
The Lloyds volunteers will be helping us out at the New Struan School residences next month as well where they will be doing some painting and other touch-ups. We look forward to welcoming them back and would like to say a huge thank you for all their work so far!
