Lots of Star Awards and Messy Cup-Cakes!

What a busy assembly it was to start our week!

We started off our Monday morning with a great big stretch, and of course, Yoga. There was the rock pose and the lying twist. Everybody was stretching and hugging their knees to wake themselves up on this dull Monday morning. It was a great feeling to stretch out all the knots in your back too.

Once Yoga was finished, everybody helped to roll up the mats and it was time for Attention Autism.

What is in the bucket? Let’s look and see…

A spinning top! The spinning top was very colourful and made a very low humming sound as it spun round and round. The faster it went the harder it was to see all the lovely colours. Jay loved having a go at spinning the spinning top.

Next, out came a very snappy crocodile! It was very green and had sharp white teeth that made a very wide grin. Everybody got the chance to see if the snappy crocodile snapped their fingers. We were all very lucky because although the crocodile was snappy, he didn’t eat any fingers today. Phew!

Then, there was a very squishy blue glittery ball that everybody loved to feel. It was very soft and moved about in your hand.

After everybody had a turn at feeling the blue, squishy glittery ball, it was time to say goodbye to the bucket until next week!

Lucy then drew a picture of a cupcake on a board so everyone could guess what was coming next.

Three cup-cake trays were places on the floor and Lucy put on her apron because she was about to get her hands messy.

Out came the shaving foam and cherry liquid, it was time to make some pretend cup-cakes. Lucy skooshed the white fluffy shaving foam inside the cup-cake holders and then squeezed some red liquid on top like a cherry. Then Lucy lifted her hands up and squashed the fluffy shaving foam cup-cake….SPLAT!

Then there were only two cup-cakes left…SPLAT!

Now only one cup-cake left with a cherry on top and guess what happened?

Yes, you’re right. Lucy squashed the last foam cup-cake with another big SPLAT! And then there was no more cupcakes left.

It was a very good thing that Lucy was wearing her apron, there was white fluffy cup-cake foam everywhere.

With a quick tidy up it was time for Look, Listen and Recap…

David was using the sander to smooth out a very big plank of wood. He wore a very sensible dusk mask and concentrated very well.
Caine was drawing for Freddie the rabbit and Jura class was out shopping for the Christmas Fayre.

This week there are lots of things for everybody to look forward to…

On Tuesday we have the farm. Drama and Cycling on Wednesday and on Thursday there is Animation and fingers crossed swimming too, if the pool is fixed, but we also have trampolining to look forward to as well! On Friday there is no music but instead it’s yoga with Becky.
