Red Nose Day Assembly
At today’s assembly we celebrated Red Nose Day by wearing our red noses and learning more about where all the money raised goes.
Pine Class Teacher Daksha told everyone about a girl called Shaheen who doesn’t have the same access to clean water as we do and demonstrated with a bowl of water how the money raised will give her a better water supply.
Daksha then got everyone to join in and hold the parachute. We put a disc with a country written on it into the parachute and moved it until the country landed at a pupil. We then gathered up all the countries at the end and talked about how the Red Nose Day appeal will help lots of other children who live in those countries as well as the UK to get access to things like fresh water, medication, and education.
After our Red Nose Day activities, we gave out this week’s Star Awards to:
- Ben, Jack and Jason for taking part in drama rehearsals for our performance next week.
- Josh for spending more time with his peers.
- Aidan for working independently on his learning projects.
- Gregor for trying out a new learning resource.
- Ross F for participating in the drama performance.
Well done everyone!
