Struan elf up to mischief and a Christmas race!

Monday morning and yoga was exactly the right thing to do to get everybody stretched and ready for the busy week ahead. With a new pose this week, the Cobra, it was an exciting start to the day.

After the lying twist, we learned the Cobra yoga pose today where everyone lay on their tummy with their hands by their side, palms flat on the floor and pushing our heads and top of our bodies up off the floor looking up towards the ceiling.

After this we signed ‘Good morning’ and it was time to move onto Attention Autism.

What was in the bucket this week?

A money gun, wow! Lucy pressed the trigger and out flew hundreds and hundreds of pounds all across the room.

Next from the bucket was the very mischievous Struan Elf who had been missing all morning.

A mini toy Santa appeared from the bucket to say hello to everyone. He was very jingly with his jingle bells on his coat and hat.

Lastly, Lucy brought out Spiderman glasses and out them on her head and was Christmas Spiderman! What a funny bucket this week.

It was time to say goodbye to everything from the bucket, but the Struan Elf stayed out, so we could keep an eye on him.

It was then time for a race! A race between Deborah’s Santa Penguin and Lucy’s red nose Rudolph.

It was a very close tie and considering that Rudolph kept on turning around and walking back to the starting line, he won and bet the Santa penguin.

Look, Listen, Recap next and we saw how Jay and Kyran helped to put up the Christmas tree at New Struan and decorate it all so it was very festive and bright.

The Struan elf was not long in getting up to his old tricks when he wrapped the tree in kitchen roll, as well as misbehaving in the mixing bowl at cooking class…that pesky Struan elf!

Jay gave Nathan a Christmas beard in sensory class and David and David both had lots of fun with the parachute last week too.
Caine and Jack were in the gym hall and created a big obstacle course. They got up to all sorts like shooting the basket balls into the net, climbing over the horses and balancing on the beams. What an exciting obstacle course.

Following that very bust week, let’s have a look at the week we have ahead…

On Tuesday we have the Farm. Wednesday it’s Drama and on Thursday there is Animation, the last swimming session before Christmas and also rebound. And as always, music on Friday with Janet.

There are three lucky star awards today, who could they be? Drumroll please!

Kyran. For being a responsible person when using the saw whilst cutting the wood for a tepee.

Benjamin for also helping to make the tepee with Kyran and doing such a great job.

This week’s Star Baker was Alexander for making gingerbread trains. He decorating them really well to create a Thomas the Tank Engine and a very very Fat Controller.

Finally, it was dancing time. We learned the signs and lyrics to ‘When Santa Got Stuck Up the Chimney’ a very festive song for December! Even the Struan elf helped to sing and sign with us all.
