New at the School this Spring!
Pupils have returned from the Easter break to see a newly installed track system in the school.
Displaying photos in reception, the cafe courtyard and right through the length of the school, the images capture the school vision ‘Included, confident learners in the community’. Photos of pupils and staff demonstrating the vision provide meaningful examples of the vision in both the school environment and residencies.
The system consists of two rails that photographs and other boards can be inserted into. This system is influenced by the design of New Struan and brings a sense of order to displays. Over time our photographs will be updated with our pupils and staff.
One pupil was very confident this week when he delivered a presentation to fellow pupils in assembly. Talking about one of his passions, Minecraft (a game about building structures) Ben explained how the game works and he illustrated this brilliantly by talking through a video tutorial – well done Ben!
After assembly, pupils gathered in the cafe courtyard in anticipation of the brand new, New Struan School Superstore! The idea of pupil Jason, the Superstore will be held every week after assembly and pupils can buy food items, newspapers and stationery. One of the great things about the new Superstore is that pupils can suggest items that they would like to see for sale. The Superstore was officially opened when Jason cut the red ribbon and then an orderly queue quickly formed.
