Sharing School Knowledge
Last week, some of our staff were out sharing knowledge and information with the public on what happens right here in the school.
On a stand at the Scottish Learning Festival, Residential Service Manager, Pauline Speirs along with Principal Teachers Susanne Currie and Stephen O’Leary talked to parents, teachers and professionals about our school and how we support our pupils. As well as sharing their knowledge, the festival was a good opportunity for staff to learn about new innovative learning tools and resources.
Our National Education Advisor, Moira Park was also at the learning festival and she presented information on the Autism Toolbox. The Autism Toolbox is an exciting new online resource for teachers due to be launched later this year.
Back in the school there was lots going on with a parents evening and a food tasting session for pupils. Pupils Jack, Ross and Patrick from Ash class were particularly busy recording all their activities for their presentation at Friday’s assembly. In addition to the excellent slide show pupils greatly enjoyed live music from Stephen on the piano.
