Gearing up for Lendrick Muir

This week in school the air was full of excitement and anticipation as pupils began preparations for their trip to Lendrick Muir. The annual trip is a chance to work together with peers, explore nature and most importantly, have fun!

Despite the preparations required, it’s still important to get together at our Monday assembly and this week was no exception.

We started off by finding out what Freddie and Marley had been up to over the weekend – it’s never a dull one for Marley and Freddie was off staying at Karen’s and having a ball.

The right of the month is ‘Every Child has the right to a healthy life that helps to develop your goals’ so we have been focused on keeping fit and active. It was the perfect opportunity to combine this with some fun at the recent Kids Big Day Out which saw pupils enjoy a giant bouncy castle.

For this week’s news, Danny shared with us an excerpt from his Thunderbirds annual. It’s great to get updates on the Thunderbirds latest adventures! Jason also gave us some updates on his album Asendo and played us an excerpt of his recent track called ‘Jolly Rancher’. On the topic of music, we then had a run through of the current top ten hits and some debate over what our favourites are. Jack then performed beautifully a song by Sigala and Paloma Faith called Lullaby.

No assembly would be complete without our class of the week and this time it was Birch class – well done to all our pupils in Birch class, we hope you enjoy your cake. Finally the Star Baker award this week goes to Sam for his delicious burgers –well done Sam!
