The Covid-19 pandemic brings along a lot of restrictions and uncertainties. We lose our sense of control, safety, being connected. That results in stress and threatens our mental health. No better time to learn to relax. There are many different forms of relaxation and one size does not fit all. And whatever form of relaxation we choose, we will need to make it autism friendly if we want to use it with autistic individuals. In this session we’ll explore briefly the different types of relaxation, including some short demonstrations. We’ll also describe how we use the relaxation techniques in our work with autistic individuals, including online relaxation sessions we offer.
