Hello, I am Kirsti Willis and I’m a Senior Community Advisor.
I come from Finland (although I am also half Greek), and have been in Scotland since 2004.
I’m a qualified Art Psychotherapist, but my background also encompasses working with families in an education setting, autism support work, as well as experience in various roles in the business world.
I have an autistic son and am particularly passionate about supporting families with young carers, as well as helping to maintain good relationships.
My hobbies are music, perfumes, crochet, and collecting sea glass.
Gemma Czyzewski – Advisor
I joined the Fife One Stop Shop in Spring 2022.
Since studying for a psychology degree, I have worked within a range of roles supporting autistic and/or people with learning disabilities, as well as families. Most recently, I was a development worker supporting Citizen Advocacy partnerships.
I am passionate about ensuring that autistic people have a voice within their lives, as well as supporting people to become better connected within their local communities.
I enjoying walking in the countryside, paddleboarding and yoga.
Aileen Paterson – Community Advisor
I am a late-diagnosed autistic Chartered Librarian with over 20 years experience of working in information and library services. I am committed to providing high quality, up to date information about autism and about changing the narrative about autism. I love art, writing and nature, and creating safe spaces for autistic people to connect.
"The service I received today gave me a better chance of coming away with a better energy and perspective."
“I was diagnosed later in life and after my assessment was completed I was signposted towards the one stop shop. From the minute my initial phone call began it was clear I would be provided with hope in that I would have access to an abundance of appropriate and informative resources through groups and one to one sessions. This has allowed me to begin the process of understanding ASD has impacted upon my life this far and how new and improved knowledge and understanding can help me shape my future."
