BBC Scotland Investigates - ‘Help Me Save my Child’

Our Director of Autism Practice and Research, Charlene Tait helped to raise awareness and public understanding of autism in the BBC Scotland documentary titled, ‘Help Me Save My Child’, which aired on Monday, 16th April.

In the documentary, presenter Lisa Summers meets with parents who are struggling to support their autistic child.  It aims to give an insight into the challenges faced by autistic people and their families in Scotland today, and explores the vulnerability that autistic people can have to develop mental health conditions.

Ahead of the programme airing, Charlene also spoke on BBC Radio Scotland on the Kaye Adams show with Lisa Summers. You can listen in here https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b09zggh2. The feature appears one hour and eight minutes into the programme.
