'Excellent' Services in Central

Michael enjoying a day out as part of his Outreach Support, he was also happy to speak to the Inspectors

The inspection was completed over a two day visit to our Housing Support Service with inspectors meeting with individuals who access the service, Service Managers, Autism Practitioners and Support Workers. The team were delighted when it was revealed they scored the top grade of 6 (excellent) on all three aspects of the inspection: Quality of Care and Support, Quality of Staffing and Quality of Management and Leadership.

Service users spoke very highly of the service and the support they received from staff with comments including: “Staff are good to me. I am very happy here”. The service, which offers individuals flexible and personalised support, demonstrated high levels of satisfaction among both service users and their relatives.

The report concluded, “The service aimed to ensure that people with autism should be given every opportunity to follow a lifestyle that is individual to the person and is enjoyable, rewarding and fulfilling. We found that the quality of the staff team was a major strength within the service and they made sure each service user was helped to meet their personal outcomes.”

We are delighted with this result and all the hard work our Central Outreach Team put into maintaining such a high quality service. To download a full copy of the report visit the Care Inspectorate website.
