A Morning With Peter Vermeulen
12/02/2016
In his seminar, Peter spoke about the consequences of context blindness on communication and about the importance of concrete communication for individuals with autism. He expressed that due to the ambiguous nature of communication, an autistic brain can often find it difficult to understand what something means in a concrete context. Concrete communication is not the same as using visuals and it works to make tangible what is vague and abstract, to disambiguate and to make explicit what is implicit.
Feedback from the day was overwhelmingly positive with delegates really enjoying the event and expressing how much they had learned.
