Right Click Funding from Lyreco
Right Click provides valuable information, as well as practical advice on a range of issues to enable parents to learn skills and strategies to support their child. It draws upon the expertise of a network of professionals to develop over 70 videos that include a range of support materials across three distinct programmes, the Young Child programme, the Teen programme and the Adult programme. Parents can obtain additional support from an autism advisor who is assigned to them at the start of the programme, and can be contacted to answer questions or give more specific advice.
Initially funded through generous donations from supporters, trusts and organisations, Right Click has benefitted almost 600 families and carers since it was launched in January 2013. The new funding from Lyreco will allow for Right Click to be sustained and developed over the next three years, and for us to continue providing valuable online support to families when they need it most.
Charlene Tait, Director of Development, Scottish Autism said: “We are delighted to receive this substantial funding from Lyreco which enable us to continue to provide enabling support to families throughout Scotland.
“As an online resource which can be accessed within the home we have been able to support hundreds of families. The Internet can be overwhelming and Right Click enables parents and carers to access a reliable source of information so they can learn skills and strategies to support their child.”
