Event Information

As we approach the next Scottish Parliament Election on Thursday 6 May, we have come together as disability charities to organise a hustings style Q&A event.

We think it is important to provide a platform for disabled people, families and carers to make their voices heard in the lead up to the election and invite you to register for what we hope will be an interesting and engaging event.

The hustings will take place on Thursday 22nd April from 3pm-5pm via Zoom and will include a 10 minute comfort break.

The hustings will be chaired by Journalist Pennie Taylor and we will be joined by representatives from the major political parties including:

  • Jeremy Balfour – (Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party)
  • Neil Gray – (Scottish National Party)
  • Pam Duncan-Glancy – (Scottish Labour)
  • Gillian Mackay – (The Scottish Green Party)
  • John Waddell - (Scottish Liberal Democrats)

The hustings is a great opportunity for you to ask a question to the politicians present as well as hear their pitch for your vote.

Organisations Involved

The organisations who have assisted in organising the hustings are: ENABLE Scotland, Health and Social Care Alliance Scotland, Leonard Cheshire Disability, MS Society Scotland, National Autistic Society Scotland, RNIB Scotland, Scottish Autism, Sense Scotland and Sight Scotland.
