Education Professionals Urged To Engage In Toolbox Review

We have been commissioned to develop a new web-based version of the resource, initially launched across Scotland’s schools in 2009, which will be launched in 2013. As part of an audit of the existing Toolbox and to identify any additional requirements, we are seeking input from the education community across Scotland to find out which aspects of the existing Toolbox would benefit from further development as well as requesting new resources and examples of good practice to be included.

Moira Park of Scottish Autism said: “We are aiming to produce an easily accessed resource which is useful to teachers in schools and local authorities across Scotland.  At this stage we are really looking to maximise the input from those who usually have responsibility for providing support and organising training for staff. Ultimately information gathered from the questionnaire will influence the content of the new Toolbox website and shape the format of information which is available. We welcome responses from anyone involved in supporting young people in schools.”

To submit views, education professionals are being asked to complete a questionnaire, developed by the University of Edinburgh’s School of Education.
