£10,000 for Scottish Autism
10/07/2012
The annual St Patrick's Ball attracted over 350 guests who were entertained by the singer, Michelle McManus, and dance band Feeva.
One of the event's highlights was the purchase of a framed print drawn by Paul Ritchie, who has autism, for over £2000 by generous supporters, Monir and Smeena Mohamed. Mr Mohamed has since displayed the print in one his Glasgow restaurants, the Wee Curry Shop in Argyll Street.
"It was an wonderful evening with an amazing result for the charities," said Heather McArthur, fundraiser for Scottish Autism. "This is our biggest donation this year and will help us to achieve our ambition - to reach everyone living with autism in Scotland, an estimated 50,000 people and their families."
