Scottish Strategy for Autism discussed at Holyrood
Committees play a central part in the work of the Parliament and this was a chance for the members to hear from autism organisations like ourselves to determine what progress has been made and discuss any ongoing challenges.
The Scottish Strategy for Autism was launched by the Scottish Government and COSLA in November 2011 and aims to ensurethat progress is made across Scotland in delivering quality services for people with autism and their families. It outlines 2, 5 and 10 year goals with much of the work towards the 2 year goals already underway.
As Scotland’s national autism charity, we played a pivotal role in the development of the strategy through our work with the Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Reference Group and this continues today.
