Walk for Autism
This year’s Walk for Autism, on Sunday 2 June, was a fantastic day which saw individuals and families come together to enjoy a walk around Holyrood Park in Edinburgh raising funds for PASDA, St Crispin’s School and Scottish Autism. We also chose the occasion to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of our Autism Support Team.
The weather was glorious and after everyone completed the walk, we enjoyed special 20th Anniversary cupcakes, home baking and the chance to relax and enjoy the sun.
Principal Teacher of Dedridge Primary School, Kirsty McKellar said:
"This was our first time on the walk and we all really enjoyed it. We have four classes with children on the autism spectrum and we wanted to bring parents together so families get to know each other and raise money for Scottish Autism."
This is the second year that Scottish Autism has taken part in the walk and it is hoped that we will be walking around Holyrood Park again next year!
