We've changed our name, not our principles.
The Board and senior management have taken the decision to modernise the name and the brand and enhance the visibility of our organisation. Competition for funds, the need to sustain the role of the organisation in the debate about ASD issues, services and resources, and the requirement to deliver to the Scottish Society for Autism's own standards to clients and stakeholders demands a change in the visibility and profile of the Scottish Society for Autism.
This change must encompass how we promote ourselves, how we are perceived and what we stand for - aligning with the core values and the quality of services of the organisation.
One key element of the brand and our strategy is the name of the organisation, which we’re changing to Scottish Autism. We’re renaming to Scottish Autism, not only to give a contemporary feel to who and what we are, but also to position us authoritatively at the centre of ASD policy and service issues and delivery in Scotland.
