Scottish Autism selected as a finalist in the Partnership of the Year category in the Scottish Charity Awards 2025
We’re delighted to announce that Scottish Autism is a finalist in the Partnership of the Year category in the SCVO's (Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations) Scottish Charity Awards 2025!
In collaboration with the Scottish Prison Service, we delivered a support programme for fathers of autistic children at HMP Barlinnie. This focused on autism understanding, communication, sensory needs, stress, wellbeing, and the importance of play and positive relationships.
Fathers reported greater confidence, improved connection with their children, and a better understanding of how to support their child and partner.
Hear more about the project from Zofia Bukiel, our Community Advice Services Manager, when she spoke to BBC’s Good Morning Scotland. She shares how the programme has been received, the impact it has made and how it might shape future work within the Criminal Justice System.
We need your help to win!
All finalists are also entered into the People’s Choice Award, and this is where your vote counts.
