My adult son Peter enjoys driving our miniature electric locomotive, and is well accepted by folk at the railway club, as elsewhere. Endears himself to almost everyone he meets, and likes to be with people; also happy to go new places and try new things. He has quite a rich and varied lifestyle, through Scottish Autism and family. But cannot express feelings or opinions (depends entirely on how the question is asked!), so extremely difficult to know what he's thinking. His speech impediment, dyspraxia and learning difficulties are also challenging. Autism is far more diverse than most people realise, and this is just one snapshot of one individual.
