Scottish Autism Christmas Market Raises Big Sum To Support Services

Our Central area services had a Christmas Market, held at our Art Opportunities service, and featured other local services Makers Cafe, Gartinny Nurseries and Inspire. It was declared a great success after raising £1,700 from delighted members of the public who attended to buy bespoke artwork, sweet treats, wreaths and to be entertained by Inspire's choir singing some classic Christmas favourites.

The funds raised will be used to purchase materials for services to support the work that they do on a daily basis. All four services provide day opportunities within Clackmannanshire for autistic people.

Jill Ferguson, Scottish Autism's Regional Manager, commented:
"The Christmas market which our services host is always a highlight of the year for ourselves and for the people we support. It is truly fantastic that the community turned out in big numbers to support us once again, and helped raise a terrific sum.

"These funds will be used to ensure that we have plenty of materials available to support the creative endeavours of the people who attend our services, and I know that they will already be full of ideas for their next big projects."
