Event Information

Tune into our Facebook Premiere with inspirational young teen Kaydi Scottsville as she talks about being autistic, what life was like at school, the challenges she faced and why she left school at age 14.  Kaydi talks passionately about her non-profit social enterprise called Diversified as well as her new project Diversified Together which is due to launch in January 2022.

About Kaydi

Kaydi is 15 years old and lives in Livingston, West Lothian. She is autistic and currently going through an ADD/ADHD diagnosis. Due to a lack of understanding about her needs as a female on the spectrum and the "presumption of mainstream" education policy in Scotland, Kaydi was unable to attend high school.

Kaydi spent her time at home fundraising for various local charities that have supported her. In April this year Kaydi set up Diversified, her non-profit enterprise, to tackle the social isolation many neurodiverse young people experience. Diversified provides affordable sensory and fidget toys while raising funds to provide social opportunities for neurodiverse 10-16 year olds in West Lothian.

Thanks to the support and funding from UnLtd, The Diversified Together Project is due to start in January 2022 and will support approximately 36 neurodiverse young people and their families over the course of one year. Kaydi plans to expand Diversified next year by securing permanent premises where neurodiverse young people can meet and engage in a way that works best for them.
