My son Euan was diagnosed with autism at 2 years 10 months old. He has always found social outings very difficult. As he has matured, he has learned coping strategies in difficult situations. This photo shows Euan on his 18th birthday, having a family dinner in a restaurant. He has his headphones on playing his familiar CDs, happy and relaxed and enjoying his day. I hope this gives others hope, as for years we would never have thought that we could eat out as a family.
