Workshops run by Fife One Stop Shop

Understanding my ASD diagnosis 

This course for individuals with an Autism diagnosis, age 17 years+, without a Learning Disability.

This is a 5 week programme.  Each session lasts 2.5 hours, covering a different topic each week: What is autisim -feelings about diagnosis, Sensory Issues, Anxiety, Relationships, Employment, Education and Transitions.

There is an optional opportunity for a 1:1 follow up session with an Autism Advisor at the end of the 5 weeks.

Understanding My Loved Ones Autism Diagnosis

This 2-day programmes is for the ‘Loved Ones’ of individuals with an autism diagnosis, aged 17 years+, without a learning disability.

Topics covered over the 2 sessions: What is autism, Sensory Issues, Anxiety, Relationships, Employment, Education and Transitions.

Introduction to Autism for professionals

This 2.5 hour workshop is for professionals* looking for information about Autism.
*(Professionals including volunteers and students working across the voluntary/care sector, also police, education and heath who would benefit from an understanding of autism to support individuals they work with)

This workshop is a basic introduction to autism covering: the core characteristics, sensory processing, theories and includes an opportunity for discussion.

What is Autism? For siblings.

This 2 hour workshop is designed to enable siblings to gain a greater understanding of their brother or sister’s autism.

These workshops are split into 7-10 and 11-13 year old groups and are for siblings without an autism diagnosis.

Parking at New Volunteer House

Important information before visiting the One Stop Shop in Kirkcaldy

The car park at New Volunteer House is for permit holders only. Please be aware that unless you are a Blue Badge holder, you cannot park here.

However, parking is available at Kirkcaldy Train Station, The Postings or there is time limited, on-street parking nearby. We are also only a short walk from Kirkcaldy Bus and Train Station.

Our meeting room is just above the waiting room on the first floor. If you have mobility requirements please let a member of staff know before attending an appointment, drop-in or group so that we can make arrangements for you.
